I'm officially a co-founder of a start-up company :)  I founded it with two friends of mine from UMCP, and the first site we're building is EscapeRL.com (RL = Real Life). EscapeRL is a Wii-targeted Flash gaming community. We are currently in our alpha release: a large and growing collection of Flash games compatible with the Wii. (You can play on your computer too!) In my mind, Flash has a unique ability to bring new people into gaming. It's support is almost ubiquitous on the web, and it's incredibly easy to make small-scale, polished, and addicting games. Wow... a whole summer went by, and somehow I never made it onto dA.  Not to see my page, not to check my friends' journals, and certainly not to submit anything CG.  I should be ashamed of myself! In my defense, I was quite busy =P  Because I had an internship at Google!  (hoorah!) I'd like to think that this summer represented a permanent shift in my life.  I worked on "a confidential project in the 3D graphics space," (non-desctriptive, I know! :o sorry) learned a ton of new technologies, and worked with some of the most talented people I've ever met.  But most of all, it helped me find my love of programming again.
